COMPANY PROFILE
The company aims to reduce the cost of doing business by enhancing the operational efficiencies of companies through the optimal use of advanced communications technologies.
Much has changed in the telecoms market in recent months in South Africa, as well as globally. Recognising the changing requirements of telecoms users in South Africa, Neotel is gearing to be a preferred provider of leading-edge telecommunications, well beyond the traditional concept of a fixed line operator. Our various telecom licences, including the PSTS Licence issued to Neotel as the new national operator of South Africa, allow the company to provide the entire range of telecoms services with the exception of full mobility.
Although initially limited in geography and product portfolio, Neotel will gradually extend more deeply into the market, in order to serve businesses and customers it cannot address initially. The initial wholesale international voice and data services offered by Neotel to other telecom players will gradually be augmented by national telecom services for wholesale and enterprise November 2007, with consumer services being launched in Gauteng, Durban and CapeTown. These service portfolios include basic voice and data services, high-speed internet (as well as true broadband access), virtual private networks, network management and hosting services that can be assembled cost effectively to meet the specific business and technology needs of each user.
Leveraging the vast telecoms expertise and experience of its shareholders, including the Tata Group's global network, Neotel has access to international best practices and a better understanding of customer expectations. The experience of its South African shareholders, including Transnet and Eskom in the national market helps to translate international trends, products and services into the local environment, and to customise services to meet the specific requirements of each customer segment.
Neotel will redefine the South African telecommunications market, by challenging conventions, being responsive to the needs of customers and making its service offerings flexible, without compromising on world-class quality of service and reliability.
